“Before the Fact” is an open ended grouping of generative mixed media, drawings, reliefs, and frottages — that result from the splintering and recombination of compounded impressions taken from photography, photocopying, rubbings, and blotting. These works orbit a memory of a chance glimpse of 2 profiles and their chimeric influences on perception, memory, and possession.
